What to expect Training at Shift

  • SHIFT Performance Training is built around one goal:

Develop stronger, faster, more resilient, and more capable athletes.

Training combines evidence-based performance principles with real-world coaching experience developed through working with athletes across a wide range of sports, ages, experience levels, and injury histories.

Every athlete follows a structured system built around:

    • Purposeful training

    • Measurable progress

    • Long-term athletic development

    • Individualized coaching and accountability

The goal is not just better training, it’s helping athletes build the habits, physical qualities, and confidence needed to succeed long term.

  • Each athlete begins by establishing a performance baseline.

    Testing may include:

    • Acceleration, speed, and change of direction

    • Plyometrics and jumping ability

    • Strength and power output

    • Conditioning and endurance capacity

    • Coordination and movement quality

This process helps identify current strengths, limitations, asymmetries, and areas for development while creating measurable benchmarks to track progress over time.

  • Training is built around each athlete’s sport, goals, training history, strengths, limitations, and stage of development.

    Programs are designed to improve:

    • Strength and power

    • Speed and acceleration

    • Change of direction

    • Plyometric and jumping ability

    • Conditioning and endurance

    • Mobility and movement efficiency

As athletes progress, training is continuously adjusted to ensure appropriate progression, recovery, and long-term athletic development.

    • Ongoing performance monitoring

    • Training adjustments based on progress

    • Progressive overload and workload management

    • Re-testing and benchmarking

    • Long-term athletic development focus

    • Data-informed coaching decisions

  • One of the most powerful aspects of SHIFT is the environment.

Athletes train alongside others who are committed to improving, creating a competitive and fun atmosphere that pushes everyone to elevate their performance.

Leaderboards, regular performance testing, and shared standards create a culture where athletes are motivated to work harder and support each other's development.
